Direct Support Assistants
About the opportunity: Our Program Support staff members work with individuals or small groups of individuals with developmental disabilities in the community or classroom setting. They assist teachers and other support staff in teaching functional life skills and independent living, social, direct care and pre-vocational skills. They enrich our consumers' lives by sharing their individual interests and talents with the people in their care.

Experience and Required Skills: High School diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience working with people who have developmental disabilities is a plus! Applicants must have a valid New York State driver's license for at least three years.

Direct Support Professional
About the opportunity: FT/PT OPENINGS AVAILABLE
Do you have a genuine desire to play a key role in the life of another person who would benefit through daily interaction with you? Are you interested in contributing to another's growth by aiding them in daily life tasks and   by helping them to live independently and participate in their community?

Due to the recent expansion of our residential program, we are currently seeking, high energy, detail oriented, compassionate, motivated individuals who have a real interest in working with individuals diagnosed with a developmental disability to work as DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS.

DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS are responsible for helping individuals who live in our community residential homes with functional life skills and independent living, social skills and overall direct care.

Experience and Required Skills: High School diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience working with people who have developmental disabilities is a plus! Applicants must have a valid New York State driver's license for at least 3 years.

CDL Van Driver
About the opportunity: PT OPENINGS AVAILABLE
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 7:30AM-9:30AM then 2:30PM to 4PM
Van Drivers are responsible for transporting consumers to and from their homes to program sites in a friendly safe atmosphere. Drivers are responsible for performing pre-trip inspections and maintaining the cleanliness of our vehicles. Most importantly we desire and value Drivers who have good interpersonal skills as they provide supervision and companionship to our consumers during transportation.

Experience and Required Skills: High School diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience working with people who have developmental disabilities is a plus! Applicants must have a valid New York State driver's license - CDL class B or C required.

Residence Manager
Due to the recent expansion of our residential program, we are currently seeking, high energy, detail oriented, compassionate, motivated individuals who are self starters and have a real interest in helping people with developmental disabilities to live independently and participate in their community.

About the opportunity: RESIDENCE MANAGERS are responsible for managing the overall operations of one of our community residential homes. The duties include directing residence staff, providing consumers with proper care, ensuring the safety of the consumers, scheduling necessary house repairs and maintaining the general upkeep of the home. Managers are a responsible for all regulatory compliance issues, quality assurance and the quality of life of the residents.

Experience and Required Skills: The ideal candidate will possess a BA/BS. Previous experience working with people who have developmental disabilities and supervising other employees are pluses, but WE WILL TRAIN QUALIFIED APPLICANTS. Premium salaries available and commensurate with experience!! Excellent oral and written skills, organizational skills and the ability to interact effectively with coworkers, consumers, families and outside contacts a must! Job Coaches
About the opportunity: JOB COACHES are responsible for providing initial training and then intermittent monitoring of a worker with a developmental disability (MR/DD) at a community job site until the worker is able to work there on an independent basis. The duties include teaching job set-up procedures and self-supplying of materials to MR/DD workers, providing feedback to Employment Specialists regarding the worker's vocational performance and transporting the individuals to and from work sites with a company vehicle.

Experience and Required Skills: The ideal candidate will possess at least a high school diploma and must have a valid New York State driver's license. Previous experience working with people who have developmental disabilities is preferred. Excellent oral and written skills, the ability to interact effectively with coworkers, consumers, families and outside contacts and, the availability and willingness to work in varied environments, a must!! Candidates must be able to work evening morning and evenings.
Habilitation Specialists
About the opportunity: Habilitation Specialists work with individuals or small groups of   people who have developmental disabilities in a community or classroom setting. They develop curriculum and lesson plans to teach functional life skills and independent living, social, direct care and pre-vocational skills to our consumers. Habilitation Specialists supervise non-professional staff in the implementation of individual active treatment plans, serve as a liaisons between the Agency and families, carry out administrative tasks related to their caseloads and may be required to drive an agency vehicle to pick up and drop off consumers. They enrich peoples' lives by sharing their individual interests and talents with the people in their care.

Experience and Required Skills: The ideal candidate will possess a MA in Special Education or related field or possess a BA/BS in Special Education or human services field and plus teaching experience (preferable w/DD population) or have initial or permanent certification from NYS Education.

Previous experience working with people who have developmental disabilities, supervising other employees and/or a degree in a Human Services Field (IE Behavioral or Developmental Psychology, Special Education, Rehabilitation Counseling) pluses! Excellent oral and written skills, organizational skills and the ability to interact effectively with coworkers, consumers, families and outside contacts a must! Applicants must have a valid New York State driver's license for the past 3 years.
