Founded more than 50 years ago by a group of caring parents, ARC now serves more than 1000 individuals with developmental disabilities from birth through the senior years. With a professional staff of 600 plus, ARC continues to provide services and supports with the compassion and dedication upon which it was built. ARC recognizes the value of every individual we serve and understands that each person is a member of a unique family unit. An active volunteer board of directors and a volunteer foundation board are vital aspects of the agency.

ARC sets a standard of excellence for the services it provides to people with developmental disabilities of all ages. In addition, ARC informs and educates the public-at-large concerning the abilities of people with developmental disabilities. ARC is a resource for information regarding advances in the fields of medicine, education and law as they relate to people with disabilities.

ARC is a vibrant and well respected member of the human services industry within the Rockland County Community and is the go to agency regarding all things relevant to people with developmental disabilities.
